Apple Cider Sangria

Apple Cider Sangria is the perfect sangria to warm you up on a fall night. Enjoy with dark chocolate and a good book next to the fire.

Ingredients

  • 1 Honeycrisp apple diced
  • 1 Granny smith apple diced
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1/4cup +1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 Orange sliced into triangles
  • 1/4 cup gran marnier
  • 750 ml bottle red wine (I used Pinot Noir)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, Cook the apples with the spices, 1 tbsp maple syrup and 1/2 cup apple cider over medium heat until just translucent and fragrant. Turn off heat and stir in lemon juice
  • Let cool (approx 15-20 minutes)
  • Mix remaining ingredients in a pitcher and chill for 4 hours to overnight
  • Enjoy!
